Officer Responsibilities:

 

President.  The President  presides at all meetings of the members and at all meetings of the Board.  The President is an ex officio member, without vote, of all committees except the Nominations Committee and the Executive Committee.  The President shall chairs the Executive Committee.

 

The Presidency is filled by the President-Elect. The President takes office following the close of the annual meeting and serves for a term of two years and/or until a successor is elected.

 

 

President-Elect.  The President-Elect performs the duties of the President during the President¬ís absence or inability to act.   The President-Elect chairs the Strategic Planning Committee.

 

The President-Elect serves for a term of two years then succeeds to the Presidency for a term of two years.

 

 

Secretary.  The Secretary keeps the minutes of all meetings of the Board, the Standing Committees and any Special Committees which the Board may from time to time appoint.  The minutes may be written in any form or in any other form capable of being converted into written form within a reasonable period of time.  The Secretary issues all notices required and keeps the the ILN Seal.

 

The Secretary serves for a term of three years or until a respective successor is elected.  No person shall be elected to serve for more than two consecutive terms in the office of Secretary.

 

 

Treasurer.  The treasurer has custody of all funds and securities. The Treasurer may endorse, for collection on behalf of the Constituent League, checks, notes and other orders or obligations for the payment of money.  The Treasurer has general responsibility for seeing that the league funds are deposited to its credit in the ILN bank account. The Treasurer sees that only bills that have been approved are paid.  The Treasurer sees that full and accurate accounts are kept and audited annually and makes a financial report to the Board at the regular meetings and to the membership at the annual meeting.   

 

The Treasurer serves for a term of three years or until a respective successor is elected.  No person shall be elected to serve for more than two consecutive terms in the office of Treasurer.
